A small 60 sqm flat renovation in Rome in the area of the Vatican Museums. A simple layout of interconnected rooms, bedroom-kitchen-living, to make the overall apartment as wide and light as possible. A single carpet of traditional terrazzo tiles defines and characterizes the flat as a continuous sequence of activities, sleeping-meeting-cooking-living. The notion of the corridor is again put into question, the functional activities are separated by the ambiguity of the entrance/kitchen space, as a buffer space with a strong material character between the solidity of the brickwork arch and the softness of the living space curtain. Everything looks at the same time dense and subtle.
